|
3/6/10 - Aspen is in a foster home with 5 other dogs and is doing great! He is a wonderful little puppy who just loves to play and play. He is working on getting potty trained and we are part way there. He is so good and just wants to cuddle.
3/3/10- Aspen is one adorable puppy!! He wants all the love he can get to know that he is going to be okay. He was picked up as a stray in a big city in LA by Animal Control. He spent 2 weeks in the kill shelter waiting for his owner to claim him. So he was exposed to a lot of things. He was rescued and has been at the vet in isolation since we got him on 2/26/10 with severe kennel cough and hookworms. Today his coughing was better and his fecal test was negative, but now he may have rickets. He is very skinny and his front paws are flat and almost webbed with no bones formed in them. Aspen is getting excellent vet care in Texarkana, TX. He is a sweet boy as you can tell in the video. He seems that his growth is stunted from the malnutrition. He could use some sponsors to help him with vet bills. He will get better but will take some time.
NOTE:
We are not a shelter or pound. We don't have a facility. We are all volunteers who love the Boxers. We have jobs and families and don't have "regular business hours". For this reason, we don't show the dogs until an application has been submitted. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt a Boxer, but it does tell us that your interest in rescue is serious. We thank you for being considerate of our time and efforts.
