Moose is heartworm negative!!

3/14/10- In one week in his foster home, Moose has gained 7 lbs. and is getting more energy everyday. Foster parents love Moose and he is going to be a great family pet. He will get a heartworm test this week. He does have an application pending on him.

3/11/10- Foster parents report that he is a looker and a lover. He does need some work on basic commands and can jump a 4 foot chained link fence in no time.

Moose comes to us as Owner Surrender along with his brother Marley the boxer. No fault of their own, as the parents split up and Mom is not able to care for these boys. They have been in a crate 16 hours a day and have lost weight and are sad as they need love and attention. Moose is GREAT with kids and dogs, and hasn't been around cats. He is housetrained, leash trained and crate trained. He was living in a house with a 4 year old who adored him. Moose and Marley love to play together. He is a good boy and the family rescued him from a kill shelter and brought him back to health. He has a foster home with Marley to try to lessen the blow of losing their home. He will be evaluated by a vet and then he will be ready for adoption. Help out this good boy!!!

We are not a shelter or pound. We don't have a facility. We are all volunteers who love the Boxers. We have jobs and families and don't have "regular business hours". For this reason, we don't show the dogs until an application has been submitted. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt a Boxer, but it does tell us that your interest in rescue is serious. We thank you for being considerate of our time and efforts.
