HOW CAN I HELP BOXER RESCUE?
There are many ways you can help the Boxers, besides the obvious donations of money or a foster home. Below is a list of ways that are sometimes not thought of.
Can you . . . .
1. Transport a dog
2. Donate a dog bed, towels or other bedding items (used is fine if still in good shape)
3. Donate a Kong or Nylabone for chewing
4. Donate a crate
5. Donate treats or a bag of food (Pedigree preferred)
6. Donate grooming supplies such as shampoo, brushes, ect.
7. Drive a dog to and from veterinary appointments
8. Donate long-distance calling cards
9. Donate a scanner or digital camera
10. Donate gift certificates from stores such as Petsmart, Petco, ect.
11. Donate raffle items for fundraisers
12. Are you an artist? Can you sew? How about donating your talents for fundraising?
13. Donate flea/tick preventive (Advantage, Frontline, ect.)
14. Donate Heartworm preventive
15. Offer to pay the boarding fees for a dog for a week, or maybe 2 weeks ...
16. Clip coupons for dog food and/or treats
17. Bake homemade dog biscuits or treats for the rescues
18. Make your purchases through a website (such as iGive) that contributes commissions earned to a rescue group.
19. Send your used printer cartridges to BoxAR for recycling
20. Donate your old cell phone for recycling
21. Use the "GoodSearch" browser to surf the web (GoodSearch donates a penny for every time it is used). See buttons on left for details
22. Host rescue photos with an information link on your website
23. Offer your services for doing home visits
24. Have a yard sale and donate proceeds to BoxAR Rescue
25. Talk to your friends about adopting/fostering dogs instead of purchasing a puppy
26. Donate a vet visit, a spay/neuter or vaccines
27. Is it your birthday? Ask your loved ones to give a donation to BoxAR Rescue in your name
28. Send a donation to BoxAR Rescue "In Honor of" or "In Memory of" that special person or pet in your life
29. Ask your veterinarian if he/she would discount a rescue group
30. Put a column in your local newspaper or club newsletter, educating about rescue
31. Talk with the children at your local schools and educate them about spay/neuter and rescue
32. Help organize and run fundraising events
33. Donate bleach and other cleaning products to rescue
24. Donate fencing materials to rescue or to someone wanting to foster a dog
25. Offer to "scoop poop" for BoxAR Rescue
26. Go to local businesses and solicit donations for a rescue fundraising event
27. Pay for an ad in your local newspaper to help place rescue dogs
28. Offer your assistance in mending kennels and fences
29. If you are a breeder, donate a percentage of the sale of each pup to rescue
30. Buy 2 of those really neat dog-items you just "must have" and donate one to rescue
31. Make financial arrangements in your will to cover the cost of caring for your dogs after you are gone - so Rescue won't have to
